The General Purpose Program (GPP) Books 1 - 5 are aimed at adults and young adults. The GPP starts from a zero level of English proficiency, providing students with the basic grammar and vocabulary, and leads up to C2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEF) and the full range of the TOEFL scores. Books 1 - 4 contain 30 units, each having three key points. Every 5 units there are 2 pages of grammar summary, one page with a vocabulary summary and one page with a progress check. Each book has an accompanying Audio CD to further develop students’ language skills. Book 5 has 15 units designed to be used in combination with a series of lessons and online material.
The inlingua Accelerated Professional Program (APP) is a special range of materials aimed at business people who want to learn English as quickly and efficiently as possible for business use. The APP books cover levels 1 to 3 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEF) and the full range of TOEFL scores. Each book has 15 units divided into 3 key points. Each unit has a clear theme and a specific structural focus within a functional business context. Each unit has a language summary and a key vocabulary page. Every 5 units there are 2 pages of grammar summary, one page with a vocabulary summary and one page with a progress check. The practice section contains over 200 exercises and activities designed for consolidation and extension of all four skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing. Each book has an accompanying Audio CD to further develop students’ language skills. The Modules are a range of English for Special Purposes programs. Students who have reached the level 2B can select from one of 11 specialized modules according to their needs or interests. The course equips learners to deal with real-world business situations by introducing genuine and versatile language practices in authentic contexts. The modules are, except the Business Correspondence Module, complemented by an audio CD, which contains engaging listening material, providing opportunities for specific language practice.
The inlingua General Purpose materials through level 3 as well as some of the Accelerated Professional Program and modules are also available in many other languages including the inlingua core languages German, French, Italian and Spanish.
